Speaker / Poster Presenters Instructions

(You should have received these instructions by email by September 5th, if you are a speaker or presenter at 3DIM2003; if not, PLEASE CONTACT US as soon as possible)

ORAL PRESENTATION:

Available resources:

- data projector (resolution: 1024x768) will be provided
- NTSC/PAL VHS cassette player
- microphone
- laser pointer

If you are using your own portable computer for the presentation, you are *strongly* encouraged to configure and verify its auxiliary video output beforehand, to insure a smooth flow of presentations.

If you prefer to carry only your presentation on a CD, we will provide a computer with MS-Powerpoint 2000 installed: in this case, avoid using non-standard fonts or video codecs. If you intend to use the conference-supplied computer instead of your own portable computer, please inform us in advance (before September 30).

Each speaker has 23 minutes of total time, INCLUDING questions. We recommend that you aim for 18 minutes of presentation, and 5 minutes of questions.

POSTER PRESENTATION:

Your poster may have a size up to 1.8m(h) x 1.2(v), (6x4 feet).  Before the poster session, all poster presenters are given the opportunity to make a short highlight presentation (2 minutes) in the main conference room. You may use Powerpoint slides, but you are strongly encouraged to provide us with the PPT slides beforehand, so that we preload them on a single computer to avoid any reconnection delays. You may still use your own portable computer (e.g. if you require specific demo software), but in this case we ask that you inform us in advance for the planning of the speaker order, since the scheduling of these presentations is tight.

Your slides can be sent in advance to us by email, NO LATER THAN
September 30, or provided on CD before NOON on the day of the
poster presentations (Tuesday, October 7).
