NEW: The 3DIM 2009 workshop will be followed by a Special Issue on 3D Imaging and Modelling of the CVIU Journal: See the First Call for Papers for details. The
deadline for final paper submission is now past.
The following information is kept for reference only. Final paper preparation: instructions for authors. The entire paper submission and review process is electronic. The proceedings, published by IEEE, will be available on-site on the ICCV 2009 Conference DVD, an later on IEEExplore.
Requirements: The 3DIM 2009 Workshop does not accept dual submissions, except under the terms allowed by the ICCV 2009 Conference: ICCV 2009 allows dual submissions to ICCV 2009 workshops and the main conference; in case of acceptance to both, the author will have to decide where the paper should appear (main conference or workshop). By submitting a manuscript to 3DIM 2009, the authors assert that it has not been previously published in substantially similar form. Furthermore, no paper which contains significant overlap with the contributions of this paper either has been or will be submitted during the 3DIM 2009 review period (June 1, 2009 - mid-July, 2009) to either a journal or a conference (not including the ICCV 2009 main conference). 3DIM 2009 also applies the ICCV 2009 policy on plagiarism. By submitting a paper to 3DIM 2009, the authors also commit to having at least one author attending the workshop and presenting the paper if it is accepted. Supplemental material:Supplemental material (additional PDF file, video) can also be
uploaded from the submission site after you have created the paper
entry and uploaded the PDf file. To ensure that the reviewers consult
this material, please ensure that the file is easily readable with
common players and codecs. File size is limited to 10 Mb.
Recommendations: codecs: DiVX, MPEG4, H.264, Sorenson,WMV; players:
Quicktime, Windows Media Player, DivX player). Remember that the
reviewers are NOT obliged to view the video, so it is to your advantage
to make their life as easy as possible by ensuring its easy
readability: details of format, tested player and version, codec,
timing, etc., can be entered on the submission form. Please remember
that the video contents should also be anonymized. Paper format: For the
submission stage: papers submitted for
review must follow the format specified for the main ICCV 2009
conference: an example
and author's kit , including LaTeX and Word templates, are
provided. Papers must be submitted in camera-ready form following
the provided example, and in PDF format. The maximum paper length
for
review as well as for publication is 8 pages.
Papers
accepted for either oral or poster
presentation will be allocated the same number of pages (8) in the
final
version. There will be no provisions for purchasing additional pages.
Some authors prefer to present their work as a poster, to benefit from
the interaction with other attendees: if you prefer to present your
work as a poster, you may specify it when submitting the paper.
Otherwise the decision will be made by the Program co-Chairs, with the
goal of providing a balanced and dynamic program for both oral and
poster sessions.
The review process is double-blind: you must conceal your identity throughout your submission. As is the normal practice, this means that you must not indicate your name or affiliation on the paper, acknowledgements must not be included in the manuscript, and references to your previous papers or research must only be included in a form that do not link them to you. Please read Section 1.6 of the ICCV 2009 example paper. Authors need to specify any potential conflict of interest with PC members or workshop organizers. Of course, the submission system keeps track of submissions and their authors, but we also ask that you include the SUBMISSION ID # issued by the submission site in place of the authors field in your PDF file. The maximum allowable file size is 5Mb. Electronic manuscripts must be submitted in Adobe Acrobat PDF
format, readable with at least version
8.1.3 (English) of Acrobat Reader. When
using PDF preparation
tools, please make sure that you are embedding all required
non-standard fonts, or avoid them altogether; otherwise your manuscript
may not print or display properly using the basic Acrobat Reader
installation (or alternate PDF readers), thus causing substantial
delays in the review process.
